DEHISCENCE / silver gelatin prints, 2025-ongoing
The meaning of the word Dehiscence is the spontaneous opening up of a mature plant. As a metaphor, this series explores different ways we experience dehiscence of our Selves, in our lives. Sometimes it’s dramatic and accompanied by our inner demons, sometimes it’s soft and gentle. Sometimes it feels like a rupture or a step into the dark, sometimes like a grand reveal, and sometimes it feels like something passing us by.
Even the slightest opening up can reveal to us the ground of our being.
